Feeding before you travel is important. Try to feed your pet at least 3 hours before you leave on your journey, never feed your pet while the vehicle is moving.
Keep your pets hydrated. Make sure that you have regular stops, every 40 minutes or so should be sufficient.
Your pets should only sit in the back of a moving car, and heads should always remain on the inside of the vehicle.
Put them at ease when you get there. Explore your new destination with them, as your pet will feel more comfortable and relaxed if they are familiar with their new surroundings.
Remember to have your animal tagged and/or wearing a tagged collar with your name, their name and 2 contact telephone numbers, in case your pet gets lost on your holiday.
